VERO BEACH, FLORIDA, January 25, 2018 - The Vero Beach Chamber Orchestra celebrates the beginning of its 10th Anniversary season with a concert on Sunday, February 25, 2018, at 2:00pm, in the James A. Sammons Auditorium at the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center, 1707 16th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, 32960.
The 10th Anniversary season will include selections from a variety of composers; including Beethoven, Schumann, Faure, and Mendelssohn. The February 25 performance highlights Judi Lampert on flute in Georges Hue’s Fantaisie for Flute and Orchestra. Piano Concerto No. 2 by Camille Saint-Saens, featuring Dr. Marcos Daniel Flores, will be performed in the second and final concert of the season on Sunday, April 15, 2018, at 2:00pm. All concerts are free to the public; donations are encouraged.
The Vero Beach Chamber Orchestra, directed by Colbert Page Howell, was formed to provide for the cultural enrichment of Indian River County by presenting two free concerts each year. The group is composed of an assortment of local musicians, ranging from high school students to seasoned professionals.
